Best Urinals for a Man Cave

How do you make your man cave stand out? Should it be graced by all the geeky tech that is out there? Or the best arcade games that ever came out? How about a large screen tv that takes up an entire wall? Or a bar that is full of tasteful whiskey and chilled beers? What about shelves and shelves of books that you have read or wanted to read?

There are so many options, and everyone one of them is just based on your hobbies and tendencies. They do not take into account what your friends and guests like or not. Some people will not understand the tech you have; others will find a flaw with your music system, and a few will point out what you need next. How about leaving an impression on your guests without having your man cave compromised by the views of others.

Pimp out the urinal you have, and it will get everyone talking about your man cave. Everyone will be bound to visit it after some rounds of drinks, and it needs to be presentable. In this article, we will discuss exactly that. We will lineup the best urinals out there in the market and how you can place them in your man cave to complement your style. So, without further adieu, let’s get started.

30. Kisses Urinal

This is not just a urinal but a work of art. No matter who comes in, your toilet will be talking about your Kissless Urinal once they get out. This is a claim we can stand by, no matter their gender or preference. They will compliment you on this unique urinal that has an identity of its own. If you have a retro-themed man cave, this urinal will complement the aesthetics and then some more.

The Kisses urinal has been around for some time now and was designed in 2000 by Dutch designer Meike van Schijndel. However, it can be found all over the world, and there is a good reason for it. You can easily install it and have the option of how you want it featured. We recommend the top-inlet opening one, but you can also go with the back-inlet one.

29. Keg Urinal

Gone are the days where you got upside down and then drank beer straight out of a keg. Many of those kegs have been recycled, and some have gone to waste. However, the good folk at Terran have you covered. They have repurposed those old beer kegs and converted them into urinals.

These kegs give a DIY look to your man cave with its stainless steel construction. You do not have to worry about its flushing system or even about how to wall mount it. It is simple enough, and you should set it all up. Just ensure no one gets too drunk and starts to drink out of it. But if it happens, it will make for a great story.

28. Dexter Urinal

When one talks about bathroom accessories, Kohler has to come up in the discussion. And since we have a selection of 30 urinals, its name will creep up a couple of more times. For the first entry on our list, the Dexter Urinal from Kohler is a great choice.

It is not a flashy urinal but sticks out in black and comes with a warranty. It is perfect if you do not have a lot of space in the toilet as it is a compact offering. To top it off, it is water efficient while negating all the cons of the waterless urinals.

27. Retro-Fit Pint Urinal

The great people at Zurn have turned back the clock and released the Retro-Fit Pint Urinal. Not only does it take you back in time but it also keeps up with modern needs. It is not a waterless urinal, but for the fact that it only uses 0.125 gallons per flush, it is environmentally friendly as well.

Apart from its vintage look, it is a cheap alternative, and you can have it for peanuts on the dollar. More importantly, one does not have to think a lot about the accessories as they are readily available everywhere. So, what are you waiting for?

26. Stainless Steel Urinal

Let’s take another direction and have a more modern look for our man cave’s urinal. The Stainless Steel Urinal is a good option if you are looking for a wall-mounted flushing toilet ware. It has modern aesthetics, but its functions concerning water-saving and installation are great too.

If you are not convinced by the above, we will give you our main reason for putting it on our list. It is easy to clean and keeps tabs on all the hygienic tasks at the same time. We are going to splash around, so why not have something easy to clean.

25. Inverted Teardrop Urinal

Let’s keep it chic for the time being. URBN Design has come forward with the Inverted Teardrop Urinal, and it is impressive, to say the least. It seems they first came up with the modern design and then adjusted it to the needs. Moreover, it has been coated with the SaniGloss Coating Technology, which keeps the surface clean and ensures germs and microbes do not stick to the surface.

They are not cutting any corners with this, and it is compatible with automatic or manual flush controls. Kohler has a similar product but is twice the price, and we did not go with it. The only upgrade on the Kohler one is that it comes in black, which is an upgrade on this white ceramic one.

24. Gargoyle Urinal

A horror movie is going on, and you have some of your friends over. It is the first time for one of your friends. He enters, and there is a gargoyle waiting for him. He might do the deed in his pants or not. We are counting on the former with the Gargoyle Urinal.

It is not available in any of the popular e-commerce stores, and you will have to order it from Almere, Amsterdam. But we have the confidence in this piece of art to become a talking point, horror movie, or no horror movie. One thing is for certain; it will be a talking point for everyone gathered around.

23. Bedpan Urinal

Someone had the great idea of converting the bedpan into a urinal, and we are questioning why this was not done sooner. It looks retro, has that classic look to it, and is a head-turner for all the right reasons.

If you like working with your tools, you do not have to spend and convert one. All you need is the flushing system and the inlets and outlets faucets, and you are set. But if you do not have them, follow the link and get one for yourself.

22. Guitar Pee – Musical Urinal

Are you a music buff? If you are, we have the perfect option for your man cave urinal. How about the Guitar Pee – Musical Urinal? The songs can be fed into, and when you take a leak, you can be listening to the music of your choice. No need to have speakers in the toilet; the urinal has you covered.

But this is not where the buck stops. If you want, and it is in the same realm of possibilities, at flushing, you can have the code with which you can download the musical creation of your pee. It might sound odd, but it is something of an experience.

21. Wall-Mounted Exposed Urinal

The westerns are great for viewing pleasure, but to relive the past years might not be everyone’s piece of cake. They used some very basic engineering, and even until the 1950s, ceramics have not become household items there. Steel was king, and you can have that in your toilet. Wall-Mounted Exposed Urinal by Franke fits the bill and has you covered.

It is a large wall-mounted urinal and will require some attention to set up. However, once put up, you are covered for the long haul. It does not require much maintenance and takes care of itself. It is an exaggeration by no means, but you get the gist of it.

20. Istanbul Urinal

If you are cramped for space in the man cave toilet, then the Istanbul Urinal is a great option. It does not take any space at all. Everything it has, it is all going in the background and is concealed from your eyes. However, it is a battery-operated apparatus and will require them to be changed every once in a while.

But the great thing with it is that your hands do not go anywhere where you do not want them to go. Moreover, all the documentation for its installation is available online, which should give you a headstart in putting it all together.

19. Urınal

Staying with the minimalistic design, Urınal is a great option to look at. This product offering from Vitra does not take much space, and you only need space to stand to get the deed done. However, unlike Istanbul, it will bring forward some of its mechanisms as it is a top-inlet urinal.

We suggest it as it has a contemporary design and very chic looking. In addition to its design appeal, it is eco-friendly, which makes it all the more appealing. Despite all this, it is cheaper as compared to other options we have shared, making it check all the right boxes as far as we are concerned.

18. Plural Monoblock Urinal

The Plural Monoblock Urinal comes from the mind of designer Terri Pecora. It has a back inlet and looks great if not extremely exquisite. The cherry on top, it has an integrated flushing mechanism with an adjustable water space and is battery operated. Do you want it in matt black or matt white? No. It’s okay. The Plural Monoblock has you covered as it comes in five different colors. Whatever you have going on with the man cave toilet’s interior, your needs will be met.

17. Venticello

Another smart option that we want to suggest is the Venticello by Villeroy & Boch. If you are in the market for a stylish choice that will catch someone in a hurry, unaware, Venticello is the product to get. It has a lid with a soft closing function that keeps the urinal odor away, bringing together form and function.

We like it not because of its great looks but also the production quality. The thin edges and design make it an everyday item that is easy to set up and not draining on the muscles. Moreover, it uses Villeroy & Boch’s in-house Direct Flush technology, which makes it eco-friendly as it uses less water than your average urinal.

16. Branham Full Stall

We were bound to return to Kohler, and here we are. The Branham Full Stall is a great choice to land in, especially if you want to have a urinal akin to what you find in most retro restaurants. They are still in use as they offer great value for money and are easy to clean. You cannot have a better combination for a man cave than the qualities mentioned above.

This straightforward urinal comes in four different colors and is pleasing to the eyes. Moreover, given its commercial application, Kohler has made it extremely water efficient. It is made up of durable vitreous china, and it comes with an external trapway.

15. Steward Urinal

The Branham by Kohler is a great option, and it is a full length, but if you are seeking a wall-mounted option, the brand has you covered with the Steward urinal. Not only does it have the Kohler form, but it offers excellent value by reducing water, sewage, and maintenance costs. It does this thanks to its waterless functionality and can save 40,000 gallons of water per fixture per year. What more do you need?

It has two functions that need to be addressed. Due to its cartridge-free integral trapway, it provides enhanced performance and requires significantly little maintenance. Moreover, this is a touch-free design, which makes it vandal resistant and offers added hygiene to whoever is using. We do not expect you to have any vandals in the man cave, but if someone makes his way, he has his work cut out for himself.

14. Architectura

The Architectura comes to our toilets from the imagination and creativity of designer Steve Leung. It is an ideal product if you care for your sanitation, and with CeramicPlus, it allows for quick cleaning. The fact that it is produced by Villeroy & Boch gives the owner a much-needed guarantee of production quality.

Villeroy & Boch’s patented AntiBac technology is used in the Architectura, which is proven to reduce bacterial growth by 99.9%. Moreover, it has a discreetly integrated siphon cartridge, which is replaceable within minutes. Last but not least, the sanitary ceramic used to make it makes it long-lasting.

13. Campus Pod

University days were great, weren’t they? No care in the world and everything was possible. The man cave symbolizes those days and the Campus Pod will take you down that road. This is a stainless steel offering from Franke and one with satin finishing, which gives it everyday yet exquisite appeal. Coming with a 5-year guarantee, Franke has their trust in this urinal and we suggest you do too. The best thing we like about it is menial water usage and cloaked presence. It is a great presence to have for a fraternity and games room themed man caves.

12. Shanks Sanura Urinal

Cleaning is a headache after an exuberant time in the man cave following a larger than usual gathering. Hygiene becomes an issue and a more pressing one when intoxicating elixirs are involved. This is why we recommend having the Shanks Sanura Urinal in place. It has a unique fin design that promises to reduce splashing by 90%, even if it is at 50%, they have our vote for a cleaner toilet.

Armitage chose to make this urinal from vitreous china, and have placed their proprietary Contour hygenIQ technology, which is a breakthrough in washroom hygiene. When all is said and done, we believe the Shanks Sanura is a great choice for those who like to keep things clean.

11. Concealed Ceramic Urinal

Grohe Bau are titans of the ceramic industry and we really liked their Concealed Ceramic Urinal from the Bau Ceramic collection. Not only is the Concealed Ceramic Urinal clean but Grohe Bau has paid meticulous attention to detail on its design. Coupled together, it gives it an unnerving appeal amongst other contemporary designs.

Moreover, it combines together style and practicality, while not letting up on the aesthetics. The inlets and outlets are concealed, and water consumption is low given its small size. It is made from high-grade vitreous china, which means it can take some beating and then some more.

10. Trumpet Urinal

At one point in our lives, we all took instrument lessons. The guitars were someone’s choice and for others the piano. A brave few took up the trumpet and the trombone. It might be that the trumpet has not been used in a long while. As you are furnishing your man cave, you can put it to use. We are not suggesting to mount it on a wall in your escape pod but in the toilet.

All you need is to carve in the inlets, connect it with the flushing mechanism, put in traps, and you are set. It is going to be a great talking point and you will always have something to fall back on if conversations are going dry.

9. Steampunk Urinal

Do you remember the Will Smith and Kevin Kline classic, Wild Wild West? What are your views on their ship? Did you like the steampunk layout? How about something similar to your man cave’s urinal. There are two ways to achieve this, have non-functioning displays that give the allure of steampunk. The walkthroughs for it are available online.

Or you can go the tiring route and make one yourself, that is also in the realm of possibilities. You will have to let go of automation and get ready for the sounds of gears turning, but if you fancy that, it will be a journey worth taking.

8. Prison Urinal

No, you are not in that part of the internet where it all goes wacky. The Prison Urinal from Acorn is a commercially produced urinal that prefers function over form. It is built to last and nothing is going to damage this stainless steel product but actual physical harm. While all contemporary urinals have sleek edges and ceramic builds, the Prison Urinal squares up for the task at hand.

It does not mean that you will be splashing around with it, it just means it was produced to have a singular focus. For a man cave, it might be the perfect look. It is a no-nonsense urinal that has its own identity, one that speaks of the old bars and taverns than modern restaurants.

7. Vitreous China Urinal

Sloan is known for the quality of its product and when they name a urinal after a very common manufacturing ingredient, you should know it is going to be a quality offering. But we do not choose items for just their durability, that is not how we function. We choose products for how they appeal to the eyes and this sleek wall-mounted urinal is pleasing to look at. It is a complete package as it is also a certified Green Product. In addition, it is labeled as an environmentally preferable product (EPP) and is in line with the statutes of the California Energy Commission (CEC).

6. Washout Urinal

We would have added the Washout Urinal even if splashed all around and left an odor once you left. It is because this is a good looking urinal. The designers at American Standard have provided us with this great product and we cannot recommend it enough. The fact that it takes into account function as well, makes it more appealing.

It uses very little water, and is environment friendly like its contemporaries but goes one step further. While many urinals use up to 1 gallon per flush, this uses ten times less at 0.125 gallons per flush. The savings on water consumption alone make it an appealing prospect. Moreover, can be easily installed on any wall with water inlets.

5. Decorum

We are in the midst of some contemporary designs and the Decorum is one with a great design and even greater water efficiency. It looks like a window on a ship, one from which you look outside. And like the Washout Urinal discussed above, it uses 0.125 gallons per flush, making it a very efficient urinal. Moreover, Decorum is made up of vitreous china. Not only is it sleek, and also healthy for the earth.

What more do you want? If you do, it has more to offer. It is versatile with back and top mounting options. It is hygienic as the surface is coated with EverClean, American Standards proprietary antimicrobial surface technology that inhibits the growth of bacteria and prevents stains, mold, and mildew to creep up on the surface.

4. Bucket Urinal

I am going to hit the can. You must have heard this phrase before and exactly know what it means. It comes from the days when there were outhouses and no internal washrooms. To bring that tradition back, the Bucket Urinal is a great idea.

All you need is a bucket, hook it up with a flushing mechanism i.e. make holes for the water inlets. Place a trapdoor at the bottom and have an outlet beneath it for drainage. It is this simple and for a fraction of a modern urinal, you have on your hands a functional vintage bathroom accessory on your hands.

3. Ultimate Clean Toilet

This concept urinal was put out on the inter webs by designer Young Sang Eun. It has one of the sleekest designs that you will see in existence for a urinal and it does not compromise on function. It was dubbed the Ultimate Clean Toilet for a reason.

On one side it has a urinal, which turns around, and converts into a sit-down commode. One does not have to exert energy in swiveling around, and it all happens with the flick of a button.

2. All In One Loo With A Reason

This concept urinal comes to us courtesy of independent designer Dang Jingwei. It is dubbed as the All In One Loo With A Reason, and has all the reasons to take this claim. It integrates the toilet bowl, sink, mirror and vanity table all in one bathroom experience.

It looks great but this is not all that it has to offer. It conserves water to the limit. Not only does it use very less water, but also reuses it to good effect. Whatever water is used in the sink, it goes to the flushing storage tank below, to be reused in the future.

1. Sorensen Urinals

These urinals take their name from the designer Clark Sorensen. Sorensen brings nature in the toilet and with good effect. These urinals are handcrafted from porcelain into flower shapes and when you are doing the deed, it seems as if you are answering the call of nature to water the flowers. These urinals are literally works of art as everyone is made different and is one of a kind.

Moreover, they are not readily available, you have to get on a waiting list as Sorensen takes 3-8 months to make one. The production time should also tell you that these urinals do not come cheap and you will have to splurge to get your hand on one of these. Despite these being one of a kind, their installation is easy and all you need are readily available fitting materials to them up.
